I’ve been meaning to write about these guys for a while. The Twin Cities Hot Club, Gypsy jazz icons of the Minneapolis/St. Paul music scene, play some of the best live music in the world, and they can be seen regularly at the Artists Quarter in St. Paul and also at the Times Bar & Cafe in NE Minneapolis.
I went on a date to the Artist’s Quarter a while back to see these guys, and I didn’t even have to whip out my patented non-game to convince the girl to dig me. Instead, lead guitarist, Robert Bell, and his band sweet talked my lady with their strumming and picking and plucking until she was ready to marry anyone in the band. And seeing how that wasn’t an option, she decided to make out with me instead.
