International Espionage | Transmissions

International Espionage is, without a doubt, the hardest working band in the Twin Cities right now.  Their self-booked tour schedule will have them traveling from Minneapolis to just about everywhere west of Bemidji from April 7 – May 3.  As if this wasn’t impressive in its own right, the band has just released its new EP, Transmissions on CD, a single on and vinyl (“Drop Dead”), and even recently recorded a music video!

“Transmissions” features the band’s signature spy-themed songs enveloped in beautifully-crafted melodies and lyrical depth.  No amount of camouflage and subterfuge can hide the fact that this album rocks.  Agent 6, a.k.a. Tim Crimson, leads the musical attack with some scorching guitar parts that are notable for their hard-edged vibe, “Agent X-8″ totally kicks it hard on the drums.  The album sways comfortably between pop and punk, while continually pushing forward with new guitar licks and throbbing bass lines that distinguish the album from its local contemporaries.
